UN Volunteers: Provide Technical Advice on Agriculture (Uganda)
The online volunteer will provide ideas to the project coordinator on how to improve, plan and design for agriculture and rural livelihoods, and design of monitoring and evaluation systems. The discussion will also involve on how to secure funding to help the famers in rural Mukono more so the bee keepers. Share ideas on how to market the products and how to apply new techno ledge which can improve on the yield production.

Application Question: In the next 40 years the world’s population will grow from 7 billion to 9 billion, yet already today, 1 billion people do not have enough safe and nutritious food to eat. Using your own village, town, city or country as your point of reference, tell us what you think the  underlying  causes of food insecurity are and why, and the effect it can have on a population (both locally and globally).
Explain how sustainable agricultural practices could solve these issues and how you would use the Youth Ag-Summit to advance your solution(s).

Call for articles - Emerging markets
This issue will examine the policies and institutional frameworks needed to make value systems work for poor farmers, and how the development of “new economies”, local markets and local value chains can improve rural livelihoods in a sustainable way. This also implies strengthening the autonomy of family farmers and enhancing multifunctionality on agro-ecological farms. Send your contributions!
